Here is an overview of our project team for Environment 391: Sustainability and the Campus at The University of Michigan. Any questions or concerns about specific topics should be directed at each individual's topic.
Isa Gaillard
Isa Gaillard is an Environmental Policy major and a Moral and Political Philosophy minor. Isa researched the principles of permaculture and the seven layer food forest. He helped facilitate meetings with key stakeholders, including the Nichols Arboretum director Rob Grese, in order to create plans for a pilot planting of sequoias in the Arb.

Katie Kirwin
Katie Kirwin is a Program in the Environment major at the University of Michigan concentrating in Conservation Biology and minoring in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. Katie researched the university's carbon footprint, emissions, and future goals, setting the foundation which this project built off.

Abijah Simon
Abijah Simon is a Graphic Design and Program in the Environment dual degree major at the University of Michigan. Abijah researched potential locations for the sequoia forest on campus as well as the likelihood of successful introduction of this species based on Michigan’s climate. She designed the graphic templates for this project.

Andie Haugen
Andie Haugen is a double major in Program in the Environment, specializing in wildlife conservation, and Human-Animal Studies at the University of Michigan. She is also part of the Graham Sustainability Scholars Program. Andie is the 391 team manager and she researched the positive impacts that green spaces can have on communities. She also designed the final presentation for the project.

Adam Kosempel
Adam Kosempel is Psychology Major and Entrepreneurship Minor at the University of Michigan. He researched the process of carbon sequestration to gain insight into the varying techniques, benefits, and challenges involved. Adam also did the research and calculations needed to determine the number of permaculture forest acreage necessary to help U of M achieve their sustainability goal for climateaction.

John Yates III
John Yates is a Program in the Environment Major at the University of Michigan concentrating in Environmental Ethics. John researched Archangel and Chiwara's history and the cloning techniques used by Archangel. He also designed this site in addition to providing other work throughout the project.
